Tulamben is our destination, a small fishing village tucked into the north-east coast that is home to one of the most famous underwater attractions on the island. We’ll be staying at Villa Alba Dive Resort, which is built by divers for divers so as you lounge by the pool or tuck in for some delicious Balinese cuisine, you’ll have a breathtaking view of the sea … lulling you back for your next dive!
Tulamben, Bali is home to the world famous USAT Liberty Wreck. The Liberty is 120m in length and sank off the coast of Tulamben in 1963. It’ll be a dawn dive to explore the Liberty, we enter the water as soon as the sun cracks the horizon. Experience the underwater fish highway as we hit rush hour as they’re waking up and looking for food!
All dives are shore dives, and all reefs and shipwrecks are within 50m reach from the resort. In the evening, we will drive to a lookout point to watch the sunset over Mount Agung!
After the dive, there will be incredibly delicious Indonesian and Chinese food that are well loved by our customers!
This is a beginner-friendly dive spot that is also incredibly interesting and home to some wonderful critters. The wreck ranges from 5m to 30m, plenty for all experience levels.
Once your mask is on, you’ll definitely need extra batteries and memory cards for your GoPro because you’ll be diving the underwater wreck site of the USS Liberty, exploring the famous Drop-Off Coral Gardens of Tulamben, and many other amazing spots.
We’ll be flying to Bali and arrive at the resort in the afternoon. On this day, we will settle in and relax.
On our second day, we will do our first set of 2 dives either around the Tulamben area or Nusa Penida for Manta Rays!
On our third day, we will do our second set of 2 dives either around the Tulamben area or Nusa Penida for Manta Rays!
On the last day of the trip, we'll have breakfast together and prepare for our way back home.
2 weeks in advance from the trip date.
You can bring along some snacks, extra cash for mini bars, beers and any additional tourism taxes that may apply. If you own any dive gear then you can bring that along as well!

We do not recommend doing the pool sessions during the trip as everybody has a different learning pace. So the trip’s duration might not be enough for you to complete the training and get certified.
Sure, we can make arrangements for private trips for you and your family. Just let us know the location you would like to dive and we will propose the resort and dive arrangements.
