“Finding Peace Underwater”: Here’s my Diving Story with BOD 🤿
Pre-Dive Experience: “Why Scuba
3 May 2023You’ve done the study. Now it’s time for scuba!
The ocean is calling! You’ve completed your PADI Open Water Theory course and pool sessions. You’re now one step away from becoming a certified Open Water Diver.
And why not pass your test in paradise?
Tioman Island is one of the most beautiful diving locations in Malaysia – and we have a dedicated team there every weekend to help you finish your course.
Sun, sea, and certified scuba diving – what’s not to love?
Our instructors will support you with everything from checking your equipment to your final exam. We’ll go over what you’ve covered so it’s fresh in your memory, including the 20 key things you’ll be quizzed on for Open Water certification.
We’re here to help you prepare to pass this PADI course with flying colours! (Should that be ‘diving’ colours?)
And once you’ve become a certified Open Water Diver, a whole new world of adventure awaits you beneath the waves. You’ll be able to join us on any of our trips to some of the most spectacular diving destinations on the planet. Now that international borders are opening, we’ve got some amazing overseas (and undersea) trips lined up …
They say you never forget your first dive. At Tioman, we can guarantee that.
It’s a 3-day, 4-dive trip featuring some of the best dive sites in the country. Stunning coral, beautiful beaches, a relaxing resort in the shadow of the rainforest: it’s the perfect start to your lifetime love affair with scuba diving.
We promise – it’ll be the most enjoyable test you’ll ever take!

After breakfast, underwater exploration continues. We head back to the ocean for a set of three dives!
You are officially PADI Certified! It is time for a diving debrief, checkout, and depart Tioman for KL by ferry.
2 weeks in advance from the trip date.
You can bring along some snacks, extra cash for mini bars, beers and any additional tourism taxes that may apply. If you own any dive gear then you can bring that along as well!

Yes you can. Please get in touch with us at [email protected] to find out the additional night rates.
We do not recommend doing the pool sessions during the trip as everybody has a different learning pace. So the trip’s duration might not be enough for you to complete the training and get certified.
Sure, we can make arrangements for private trips for you and your family. Just let us know the location you would like to dive and we will propose the resort and dive arrangements.
